What’s your ideal way of spending your weekend day and night?

I play golf during the day to relieve stress, socialize, and get some exercise. Then I’ll typically go to a friend’s house in the evening to celebrate her birthday!

Do you have any outfit tips for someone hitting the golf course for the first time? 

I would say comfort is the priority. Sporty clothes and proper golf shoes are key. If the setting is more formal, opt for a collared polo shirt, tailored golf pants, or appropriately length shorts, a belt, and golf shoes with soft spikes. Also can’t forget a handy purse that is lightweight and durable.

What’s your favorite golf course in LA?

There are so many nice ones.. but I will have to go with Pelican Hill Golf Club in Irvine, CA. The scenery here is beautiful, club house food is delicious, and most importantly, I play here with my parents on their anniversary every year. We all have great memories at this course, so it is definitely one of the gems I cherish close to my heart.

What’s your evening party outfit for this weekend?

I’m going to my bestie’s birthday party but it's going to be a chill house party, so I’m wearing a grey dress with long boots. Definitely Kendrick Lamar’s 'Love.' I have good memories associated with this song, and I like R&B. I may get sh*t for this, but Kendrick > Drake!!

I would say to choose the activities you enjoy, no matter what they are. But trust me, try golf—you’ll become addicted to it, and it will become your best companion on the weekends!

What’s your day and night for this weekend?

I’m gonna hit up a museum, grab some coffee after at my favorite cafe, and then have dinner with friends somewhere in Downtown, LA. I love unwinding with a glass of wine on the weekends; it's just so chill.

What’s your favorite museum in LA?

The Getty has to be at the top of my list. The art pieces intertwined with the natural LA vibe are always so refreshing for my soul and I could stay there for hours. Plus, who doesn’t love putting on a cute outfit and going on a full photo opp with your besties! ;)

What’s your most recommended restaurant in LA?

I like Bavel; I’ve been there several times with friends. The atmosphere is great, and the food is delicious. I really enjoy the chill vibe. Plus, I can eat the hummus literally everyday, ugh.

What are the outfits for your this day and night weekend?

I’m a huge fan of minimalism while having some chic elements. For my museum fit, I’m rocking an all-white dress and pairing it with a green mini-crescent bag to keep it chill. But for dinner, I love trying out new fine dining experiences, so I typically go with a sleek black blouse, skirt combo, or just a black shirt. To keep it all monotone, I will have to go with a black shoulder tote bag—need the extra space, especially for my wine.

As a Like Dreams girl, what tips would you give to other girls for a great weekend?

I’d say just chill out. Eating some good food and drinking some wine—the weekend is for relaxing.

How do you like spending your day and night on the weekends?

As a third-year aspiring my PhD in English, do I really have weekends? I’m pretty much head buried in books (don’t worry I love it) at the bookstore at my school in UC Irvine or at a cafe where I can sip on my coffee. You know the saying, work hard play hard. At night, I love rewinding and vibing to music at a jazz club with good food, drinks, and music.

What is your favorite book right now that you are reading? 

Rejection by Tony Tulathimute is literally GOATED. Hands down the best book of the year so far. 

What are 3 things you can not live without?

Dior lip oil, an everyday tote, and Jesus 

What role does fashion play in your professional and personal life? 

Fashion is a form of intelligence – you need to wear clothes, and might as well be smart about expressing yourself authentically. I believe the way I present myself to my students in my teaching program through the clothes I wear is another means of inspiring them. As for my personal life, I just love a good white tee and comfy jeans. 

Why did you choose the Carol top handle and Scarlett tote as your go-to purses?

Every girl needs a trendy shoulder bag that serves. I love keeping my outfits simple and have my purse add a pop of color like the Carol shoulder. The Scarlett tote is just my favorite bag right now because its spacious, not too big. Plus, its giving Balenciaga but I’m not trying to wear a Balenci bag to my school library every day.
